Here's the start of another photo story, another trip away from South Shields. Edinburgh is about a 2.5 hour car ride away from home, but we chose to visit during the final week of the "Fringe Festival", always guarantees that the city is chockablock full of tourists with lots of colourful street entertainment going on.
One of the challenges when visiting places like Edinburgh (or other tourist hots spots) is to find a new angle or viewpoint for those iconic landmarks that we are all so familiar with. Hence this view of the castle, shot from Kings Stable Road at the end of the Grassmarket.
I must apologise for my lack of visits to your sites and my inability to make time to review/make comments on this and your pages. I seem to be fully occupied with work, and making all the necessary arrangements at home for the Christmas period. I hope to be able to return shortly.

Even though I may not be able to visit or respond daily, I always welcome your comments or critiques.
