Princes Street is the home of prime time shopping in Edinburgh, always very busy at any time of year. This view looks towards the port of Leith on the Firth of Forth with the Walter Scott Monument in the foreground and Waverley Station to the right. I shot this from the advantageous position of a seat on a giant Ferris wheel erected for the duration of the Fringe Festival.
